Happy Holidays!

I know it’s Christmas morning and everyone is busy, but I just wanted to take a minute to say Merry Christmas, or whatever you celebrate.

This has been a weird year, and a weird holiday. We didn’t get together with family, so the husband and I are spending Christmas with the cat and dog. But we’re together, and that’s what matters.

We’re also in the midst of a snowstorm, so all those wishing for a white Christmas are happy. I was not one of them, but if it has to snow, this is as good a time as any.

I hope everyone has a joyful holiday. Stay safe out there!

At Work Artwork

Reflection after a storm.

After writing, my favorite activity is photography. I take pictures of everything. Cellphone or my Pentax, I always have a camera out.

Scrap metal.

When it’s slow at work, I find myself seeing art in my surroundings. If there’s time, I snap a few shots to play around with later. The photos in this post are the result.

Marks on metal.

I’m not talented enough to create the art I imagine at work. That would require skills such as welding, which I don’t possess and don’t really want to learn. My camera allow me to capture a small part of the idea. That’s enough.

There’s beauty in every setting, if you just look for it.
